What We Treat

Depression

Depression is a serious medical illness affecting more than 16 million American adults every year, 6.7% of all U.S. adults1. Often a debilitating disorder, depression results in a persistent state of sadness or loss of interest or pleasure which interferes with an individual’s thoughts, behavior, mood, and physical health.

OCD

OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, is generally a two-part mental disorder involving intrusive thoughts and compulsions. OCD begins with intrusive thoughts. Intrusive thoughts are the “obsession” piece of OCD, and can lead one to feel fear, disgust, anxiety, guilt or other distressing emotions.

Anxiety

Anxiety on its own is a common feeling of uneasiness, distress, or fear. We all experience anxiety at some point in our lives. If these feelings escalate to interfere with daily life, then, this may be a sign of an anxiety disorder. The term ‘anxiety disorder’ covers several specific disorders, each with their own signs and symptoms, though all are characterized by extreme fear.
